Republic Refrigeration Inc. safety policies and procedures have been developed for the protection of its employees, subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and the general public. Safety, like quality, is the result of doing things the right way. In most cases, unsafe acts or conditions lead to accidents. It is Republic Refrigeration Inc.’s objective to achieve a reduction in accident frequency and severity. All employees have the responsibility to work toward the achievement of this basic objective, and to work as a team to recognize and correct unsafe conditions and prevent accidents.

This Safety Manual is designed to provide all employees with safety policies and procedures, which must become part of their everyday working habits. It is intended to be dynamic and the information and procedures outlined may be revised as policies and procedures are updated. The policies and procedures outlined in this Safety Manual do not supersede any safety standard set by any regulatory agency, nor do they eliminate the need for sound safety practices beyond those outlined in this Safety Manual.

Accident prevention and industrial health are just as important to this organization as quality and production. All employees should make their best effort to provide and maintain a safe and healthy workplace, safe equipment, and proper materials.

Maintaining a safe work environment requires the full cooperation of all employees and subcontractors. The management of this company is committed to providing the proper supervision, planning, communication, and training for employees to allow them to carry out their jobs in a safe manner. SAFETY IS NO ACCIDENT!

It is a condition of employment with Republic Refrigeration Inc. that all employees adhere to the requirements of the Safety Manual, as well as comply with all pertinent safety policies and procedures relevant to the work.

Furthermore, all subcontracts, purchase orders, and service contracts issued should contain by reference the requirements of the Safety Manual. Republic Refrigeration Inc. should use its best efforts to prevent other parties’ activities from subjecting any employee to danger. All Republic Refrigeration Inc. employees and those of its subcontractors are required to immediately report to their supervisor any such hazardous activities or conditions.

All supervisory personnel have the full support of management to carry out the provisions of Republic Refrigeration Inc. Safety Manual and are expected to do so. Employees and management will jointly participate in developing solutions for safety hazards as they arise and should actively participate in the safety plan for each job site.
