Established REPUBLIC REFRIGERATION, INC. in July 1983.
Hank, was employed as a sales engineer by Cutler-Hammer, Inc. in 1958, and served with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers from 1959-1960, subsequently attaining the rank of Captain in the U.S. Army Reserves. Upon completion of his military service, Hank returned to Cutler-Hammer and was appointed Branch Manager of their Knoxville, Tennessee office. In 1967, Hank moved to Charlotte, North Carolina as the Branch Manager of the Frick Company. In 1968, he became associated with Piedmont Engineering Corporation as sales manager, and was appointed Vice President in 1974. The responsibilities of this position included the total refrigeration system design and installation as well as electrical control and motor-starting design. Also comprising his responsibilities was the instruction of all company personnel in the maintenance and the operation of these systems. As a Professional Engineer Hank is recognized in eleven states, and licensed as a contractor in thirteen states. Hank has served two terms on the Board of Directors for the International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration and is a member of The American Society for Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers. In 2000 he was given the status of “Life Member” of the IIAR.
